Changing Blender interface language

Blender is an international project, popular in many countries. Therefore, its interface has been translated into many languages, and in its settings we can conveniently and quickly switch between the necessary translations.

Switching the interface language in Blender is also provided through the Blender Python API.

To set the desired interface language, for example Japanese, we can the following command:

The value assigned is the generally accepted locale abbreviation for the target language. For example, for Spanish the value would be “es”, for Russian it would be “ru_RU”, for Chinese it would be “zh_CN”.

To view the current value of the locale, we can simply refer to the property being assigned:
