This Blender add-on allows you to quickly and easily move the center point of an object (origin) to the desired location.
Origin movement variants are available in the context menu that appears when you press Ctrl + Shift + c in the 3D viewport area, or on the add-on panel.
Add-on functionality
Origin To Selection
In the EDIT mode: moves the origin to the center of the object’s selection.
In the OBJECT mode: moves the origins of all selected objects to the center of mass of all selected objects.
Origin To Geometry Bottom
In the EDIT mode: moves the origin to the lowest point by global Z-axis of the object’s selection.
In the OBJECT mode: moves the origins of all selected objects to the lowest point by global Z-axis of each object.
Features
The addon takes into account that the object being processed may have instances, and prevents them from being shifted when performing operations on the origin.
Known issues
When undoing an add-on action (Ctrl + z) in the EDIT mode, the origin isn’t returned to its original position; instead, the geometry shifts to match the origin’s new position. Unfortunately, this behavior is due to a feature of Blender’s global undo.
